Happy (early) Halloween!
Tomorrow is already Halloween! I'm sure you're hearing just as much (if not more) excitement tonight than I did at school today! The kids can't wait.
I have several fun activities planned for tomorrow during the morning, and almost our entire afternoon will be spent preparing for, attending, and coming down from the Monster Mash. I will be very aware about how kids are doing at the dance, and we will leave it becomes too much!
Tomorrow is a "black and orange" out-of-uniform day! Your child can wear orange and black to school. I talked with the kids about this today, and I also told them to bring their halloween costumes to school! We will change into them after lunch in preparation for the Monster Mash! They should not wear them to school and we will change out of them before dismissal!
PLEASE do not send Halloween candy for the class tomorrow: I'm sure that students will be getting plenty of candy while they trick-or-treat! With everything going on, I don't think we would have time to pass out candy. If you have already purchased a small item for the kids (pencils, erasers etc.) you can send them to school and we can pass them out tomorrow if there is time. If there is any candy your student does not like or want to eat, you can send it to school in days to come and we will donate it.
Thursday is picture day! Students do NOT have to be in uniform. If you send the payment envelopes back in advance, Mrs. Hartman will hold onto them in the office until we take pictures on Thursday.
October book orders have been submitted! I will be passing out November and Christmas (already!) book orders next week!
If you have not signed up for a conferences time slot yet, please do so soon! Here is the link:
I think that's all for tonight! Please let me know if you have any questions.
