I heard the above quote MANY times on our first day back from Spring Break! And what a day it was! They never cease to amaze me with their ability to jump right back in with their routine! We had a fabulous day!
Head over to the "What are we Learning" tab to se what we'll be up to for the next few weeks! We have a LOT of important learning going on! We're starting to work on addition in math. I would encourage you to add simple numbers together with your kids at home. You can add fruits, vegetables, books, toys--the possibilities are endless! It helps show the kids that addition isn't just another "thing" they learn in school--it matters in real life too!
Believe it or not, we will begin planning our next Mass next week! Please mark your calendars: the next (and final) Kindergarten Mass will be Wednesday, March 2. I can't believe it! It'll be here before we know it. I am so excited to plan another Mass with these talented and God-loving kiddos.
Speaking of that first week in May, I have another important date for your calendars! May 3 will be Grandparents' Day for the Living Rosary and the Spring Concert! This is a busy day! Ms. Doyle will be sending out more information as the date grows nearer. This special guest can be a grandparent, aunt, uncle, older sibling, good family friend, or a parent! The guest will attend the Living Rosary with their student, have coffee afterwards as the kids have a snack, do an activity with the class(es), have lunch with the student, and end the day with the Spring Concert at 1:00! That's a busy day! If your family has one special guest coming for more than one student, the guest can certainly float between classrooms and spend time with each child. I do not know all of the details for how lunch will work for this day--I'll get them to you once I know more! Again, that date is Thursday, May 3.
Although it is April, please continue to send boots, snow pants, hats, gloves, and a winter coat until further notice. Even as the snow starts to melt, the ground is WET! We move recess around occasionally to avoid the puddles, but we know occasional wet knees are unavoidable! Thank you!
The kids are rounding the corner towards becoming first graders! We talked today about how my expectations for them will continue to rise and I will never stop believing in their abilities! They're big kids who can do big things!
Please let me know if you have any questions!
