It sure sounds like all the kids had a blast on their day off yesterday! I am so thankful for the beautiful weather--so glad it's not cold following our snow storm! They came in from recess covered in snow and pink-cheeked! Please continue sending all winter gear to school every day. Thank you!
The kindergarteners are taking their first round of NWEA tests this week! The students in attendance took the math test today. Because of the snow day and late start, the scheduling for this is a bit altered to the original plan. They will take the reading test tomorrow morning. If your child is ever absent during the testing, don't worry! There will be plenty of time for them to make up the test. They did an INCREDIBLE job this morning--very quiet and respectful while waiting and taking the test.
We are getting ready for Catholic School's Week! I sent home the scrabble-like page for your families to fill out. It went home with the youngest child in each family, so all the kindergarteners brought one home. They are due back on Thursday the 26th. You can send them back to school with any of your children if you have more than one at St. Wenc.
Also, in preparation for Catholic School's Week, please send back the field trip form with $20 if you have not already1 Also, I will be asking students what they want to eat at Skateville tomorrow--they need a count ahead of time to make sure they have everything ready on time. Their choices are pepperoni pizza, cheese pizza, or a hot dog.
If you are planning to come to Skateville or are able to come bowling with us, please let me know! I would love some adults to help with supervising skaters and getting everyone bowling shoes and balls.
Finally, students who attend one of the Masses this weekend at St. Wenc will receive an out-of-uniform pass! I highly encourage attending the 8:30 mass, as this will be the mass most heavily attended by students and staff.
That's all for tonight! Let me know if you have any questions or concerns!
