Happy October!
We are SO CLOSE to being able to say we're a month into school! Despite all going on and how school looks, it has flown by! We celebrated the 20th day today with a visit from Zero the Hero! The kids used their iPads to take pictures and send them to you--I try to find them and read them your responses if you send them and you should see them BEAM with pride! So incredible!! If you plan on ordering from the Scholastic Book Orders in October, please submit your order online by October 9. The class code is RJBZZ. We are working hard to be independent in reading and math groups! iPads are helping with this quite a bit, as they have fun tasks to do, but we are working on solving problems and asking others for help when we get stuck with centers and worksheets! Fostering independence in all aspects is major kindergarten goal, and we need your help too! Please help your child remember to empty their folder, pack their snack, zip their coat, put on gloves (now that it's getting chilly!) and make sure they have their water bottle. Prompting them to do these tasks but letting them do it themselves is great practice! I love watching them take ownership over their own things in the classroom too! As the weather gets chilly, the heat is kicking on! I encourage kids to bring layers to school, as it often gets warm in our basement room when the boilers turn on in the morning. As a reminder, red or navy sweatshirts must have a SWS logo on them to be worn in the classroom. Other uniform info can be found here on the SWS website. Thank you for your understanding! That's all for now! I'm looking forward to another fun month together! Lisa Comments are closed.
